I am delighted and excited that you are considering Ravenscote Junior School for your child.

Applications for Ravenscote Junior School for September 2024 are now open and are to be made online through Surrey School Admissions . Applications will close on 15th January 2024.

Community Open Event

We will be holding our Community Open Event on Tuesday 9th July 2024, 1545-1645. This is a great opportunity to come and visit our school, meet our teachers and take part in some fun activities.

In-Year Admissions

If you wish to apply for a place at Ravenscote outside of the normal admissions round (in year) please use the relevant admissions form (SMA) below.


PLEASE BE ADVISED: ALL YEARS AT RAVENSCOTE JUNIOR SCHOOL ARE CURRENTLY FULL WITH A WAITING LIST. 

Any parent can apply for a place at this school at any time. This is referred to as an ‘In-year admission.’

All In-year applications for this school must be made directly to the school. Details, including the application form and guidance notes can be obtained below.

It should be returned to the school. Ravenscote Junior School, Old Bisley Road, Frimley, Camberley, GU16 9RE (please provide documents required as stated.) If correct documents are not included, your application will not be considered.

A hard copy of this form is also available by contacting the school.

Upon receipt of an in-year application, the school will aim to notify the parents of the outcome of their application in writing within 10 school days, but applicants must be notified in writing within 15 school days.

Where an application is refused, there is the right to appeal. Details of how to appeal can be found below.

All in-year appeals will be heard within 30 school days.

Where an applicant is offered a school place following an in-year application, and the offer is accepted, arrangements will be made for the child to start school as soon as possible, particularly where the child is out of school.

September 2024 year of entry or transfer appeals: this relates to community or voluntary controlled schools only. Other schools may follow this timetable, but you will need to check with the school itself.

NB: Appeals will not start being heard until after the relevant closing date has passed. Appeals lodged after these dates will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline or 30 school days of being lodged, whichever is the later date.

Appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing. Appellants will be sent a copy of the school's case 7 clear working days in advance of the hearing.

Appellants must ensure that any further evidence, not included with their initial appeal, is received by 5pm on the day notified in the letter with details of the hearing. Any additional evidence or information received after this date might not be considered at the appeal hearing.
