Each term one child from each class gets recommended to the Governing Body by their class teacher for a Governor Award. The Governor Award is the most prestigious award a child can receive.
The criteria for a nomination revolves around the following areas:
- Personal achievement - where any ability of child shows exceptional achievement in a given period though some real personal commitment over and over normal school education.
- Social Skills -where a child has been seen or exhibits real interest in others and the environment around them, such as helping others, going the extra mile etc…
- Is able to clearly show how they have Engaged, Enriched, and Excelled themselves or supported others in achieving this. Does the child help at school events? The award is about an all-round contribution to the community. How does the child help others? How does the child go the extra mile?
