The Governing body of Ravenscote has one main aim – to raise standards. Governance plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the school and challenging the school leaders to make sure every child 'excels'.
Parent representatives on the Governing board are a doubly important part of our school and home partnership. Not only are they directly aware of the results of school policy on our children and are easily accessible to you the parents, but they can bring a variety of skills needed in the present day governing of schools.
Our Governing body is made up of 15 Governors. The constitution is as follows:
- 2 Staff Governors
- 3 Parent Governors
- 10 Trust Governors
We meet regularly each term and have three key committees that feed into our Full Governing Body Meetings. The committees are:
- Children & Learning
- Building & Finance
If you feel that you would like to help our school by becoming a Governor do please get in touch with the Headteacher, who can tell you what is involved.
