Kingswood Update 26.04.18

Today was a truly amazing day and everyone had so much fun!

Wednesday was a great day and it was wonderful to see the children challenge themselves and support each other. Eight of the groups went in the sea and the waves were bigger and it felt slightly warmer!!!!

We have been so lucky with the weather and despite the wind we are all keeping warm. Room inspections are getting harder as the floors continue to disappear amongst the dirty clothes. We will begin packing today and hopefully some lost items will be found - they are in their rooms we are just not sure where! In some cases probably in their bags!!!

If I compare this trip to the year 4 Hooke Court trip we can see clear progress. All of the children have at least washed once and they have changed their clothing several times!

We had a camp fire last night which was great fun and the children really enjoyed their toasted marshmallows! They have all spent their pocket money, mainly on curly wurlys! The man in the shop cannot believe the trade he has done this week!

We return home tomorrow evening but tonight is disco night!!! Some children said yesterday they would like to stay for another week and not go home! Whilst this is tempting I'm not sure I could convince the staff!!!

The staff have been brilliant and Mrs Wells has delivered an exceptional experience - I am proud of all of them and I have no doubt you will thank them for inspiring the children. The staff really do go above and beyond to make Ravenscote what it is!

This will be the last update before we return, I will post more pictures today and then we will be excited to see you all tomorrow. We will text you when we are an hour away from school - yes their will be a lot of washing, yes they might need to be washed but they have done us all proud and it has been a week to remember.

Time for more fun!

Best wishes

Mr Harris
